Special methodology for admission to Master's degree courses for the academic year 2023-2024

The present methodology completes the Admission Regulation to the Master's Degree Studies of the Partium Christian University for the academic year 2023-2024 with specific elements of the ART MEDIATION master's degree program.

 

  1. Course description

Field of training: Fine Arts

Master`s degree: Art Mediation

Graduate student qualification: Art Mediation

Number of credits (ECTS): 120

Form of training: full-time

Language of training: English

  1. Admission exam description

 

  1. Admission is based on three tests:
  2. Professional recommendations, in English language. Recommendation should indicate the recommender`s relationship (work/teaching) with the applicant, professional status of the recommender, contact details (email, phone number). Test 1.1. is exclusion test (pass/fail grade)
  3.  Interview, based on cover letter and professional CV. The purpose of the interview is to assess the candidate`s prior professional and general knowledge (art history, art theory, knowledge of social phenomena) (30%), general skills (logical thinking, attention, communication skills) (20%), motivation (20%) and English language skills (30%).
  4. Average grade in the final examination/ Romanian Baccalaureate exam

 

  1. Test 1.2 (the interview) requires candidates to be present in person or online.
  2. Test 1.2 is held in English language.

 

  1. Entrance grade average calculation

The overall entrance grade average is calculated to two decimal places, without any rounding, according to the following formula:

EGA = 0.75 x IGA + 0.25 x FEGA

EGA = entrance grade average

IGA = interview grade average

FEGA = final examination/ Romanian Baccalaureate exam grade average

 

  1. Criteria for taking the last tuition/fee-free place in case of grade equality
  1. Admission is strictly in descending order of the overall average obtained by the candidates and within the limit of the number of places for which the admission is organized.
  2. If the last place in the number of places allocated to the course in question is occupied by more than one candidate with the same final average, the following criteria will be applied (in order):
  • the grade obtained at the admission interview;
  • the grade obtained in the final examination/ Romanian Baccalaureate exam.

 

  1. Admission Criteria

For the admission exam in the Art Mediation MA course, candidates must possess:

  1. Romanian Baccalaureate diploma (or equivalent) accompanied by the transcript (and, if applicable, the equivalence certificate);
  2. Bachelor's degree diploma (or equivalent) accompanied by the diploma supplement or transcript;
  3. Other conditions:
