Judit Angel is a curator and art historian based in Budapest and Bratislava. She has worked as a curator at the Art Museum in Arad, Romania and at Műcsarnok/Kunsthalle in Budapest, Hungary, and since 2013 she has been responsible for the program of the contemporary art organization tranzit.sk in Bratislava, Slovakia. She has curated numerous exhibitions including the Romanian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (1999), Prague Biennale (2003), Overlapping Biennial. Bucharest – Biennial of Young Artists (2012). Recent exhibitions include Start and Finish. Reflecting on Project-based Culture (2018) and Grounding ~ Seeding (with Alessandra Pomarico, Borbála Soós, Ovidiu Ţichindeleanu, 2022), both at tranzit.sk, Bratislava. She is interested in the social function of art and interdisciplinary research.
