Ottilia VERES

Ottilia Veres, Senior Lecturer, Department of English Language and Literature, Partium Christian University, Nagyvárad/Oradea (Romania), graduated from the Institute of English and American Studies, University of Debrecen in 2004. She earned her Ph.D. degree from the University of Debrecen in 2017. Her dissertation analyzed the questions of colonial intersubjectivity and mythical subtexts in Nobel-laureate J. M. Coetzee’s early fiction. She is teaching 20th-century and contemporary English literature and visual culture and her fields of research are contemporary English fiction and poetry and myth adaptations. She has published scholarly papers on Coetzee, Beckett, Alice Oswald, Ted Hughes, and myth adaptations in Hungary, Romania, and the UK. [veresottilia@partium.ro]
