Aims:

The course aims to provide learners with knowledge of interdisciplinary approach of artistic practice. The course helps students to acknowledge and use the interdisciplinary dimensions of art research, to recognize the relevance of art for various theoretical fields (philosophy, humanities and social sciences), to recognize the relevance of art for the formation of the current society and its future, to recognize and analyze the specifics of artistic research, to employ critical thinking, organisational and research skills in analysis of visual art, to assess primary and secondary sources, their usefulness, reliability and contestability to resolve a visual art question, to apply principles of academic integrity engage with local, national and global visual art communities to expand knowledge and appreciation of visual arts, artists and art movements
