Aims:

The course aims to provide learners with a working knowledge regarding public and private collection of art, institutions and practice of collecting contemporary art in a global context. It is also intended that learners will develop skills in research, critical thinking and analysis through the completion of this course. Students will learn how to identify significant concepts and principles of art collecting, how to apply knowledge of artistic content and concepts to make judgements regarding art works.
